+ Special Notes: This Portsmouth home sits with views toward the Sakonnet River, and the design had to live up to what’s just outside the windows. The palette is confident without being loud and includes a soft gray perimeter that reads almost white in the coastal light, and a deep charcoal island that anchors the whole room.
Kitchen Design
The Sakonnet Views kitchen is designed entirely around natural light and clean lines. A large row of black-framed windows act as the central focus of this design, reflecting light off the white quartz countertops and light oak floors. Using contrast to ground the space, the kitchen utilizes a neutral color palette, pairing light gray perimeter cabinetry with a center charcoal island. Simple hardware and professional level stainless steel appliances keep this kitchen feeling high-end, calm, and uncluttered.
Bar and Wine Design
Just off the kitchen, a custom bar area transitions seamlessly into the home. It uses the same cabinetry color, matching countertop, and black hardware to mirror the kitchen’s minimalist style. An integrated wine refrigerator and light oak floating shelves allow for easy preparation when entertaining.
